Did you know that NFRC has its very own podcast—RoofTop?
Now onto its ninth episode, RoofTop has featured a whole range of special guests, features and topics. Each episode, which lasts around half an hour, hosts Pip and Phil have a brief discussion on the latest industry news. They then interview an industry figure or stakeholder and conclude with a technical tip from NFRC’s Safety, Health and Environment manager, Gary Walpole.
The topics covered on the podcast are very broad, from tax policy to how the roofing industry can help preserve the UK’s swift population, and guests have been as far-ranging as Professor Noble Francis, Economist at the Construction Products Association, Ulrich Marx, Chief Executive of the German Roofing Contractors Association and tax consultant Liz Bridge.
The most recent episode featured Emma Lindsey, Director of Criminal Enforcement at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), in which she discusses the work the CMA is doing to raise awareness of competition law in the construction industry, and in particular, what lessons can be learnt from the recent CMA case in the lead industry.
Please do take a listen to the podcast, go back through previous episodes and share it with colleagues. As ever, we are always open to your feedback—whether that be any topics you would like us to cover, people you would like us to interview, or generally about the format and content of the podcast—let us know at marketing@nfrc.co.uk.
