With integrated solar now a standard part of roofing specifications, UK manufacturer Solfit Ltd has expanded its range with new 425Wp and 435Wp portrait-orientated roof-integrated panels.
These complement the company’s established landscape formats used across domestic in-roof and commercial over-clad projects.
Solfit is an independently-owned UK business that designs and manufactures its systems domestically, with over 90% of component parts produced in the UK. Founded in 2016, the company has supplied tens of thousands of panels nationwide.
The new portrait panels follow Solfit’s installer-led development approach, shaped by experienced solar professionals to address common challenges around fitting speed, roof layout and system complexity. This philosophy is captured in the guiding principle ‘Designed by installers for installers’.
Ewen Estill, Managing Director of Solfit Ltd, said: “Our approved installers and roofing contractors love working with Solfit. It’s built on more than 20 years of hands-on installation experience. The system is versatile, straightforward and robust, with no fiddly parts, seals or brittle plastic mountings.”
The panels use an all-metal interlocking frame with fewer components than many in-roof systems, enabling faster installation and easier co-ordination with other trades. The portrait format offers greater flexibility on modern roof designs where space is limited but higher outputs are required.
Solfit panels are BROOF(t4)-certified for domestic in-roof use and can also form a watertight commercial over-clad solution, removing the need for another top sheet in these locations. Constructed with dual-glass laminate and a fully-metal frame, the panels combine durability with a sleek, low-profile, all-black finish.
