£15M Investment at Brett Martin Manufacturing Site

< 1 min

BRETT MARTIN has announced a landmark £15 million investment at its Mallusk headquarters to expand its plumbing and drainage manufacturing operations, marking the largest single investment in the company’s history.

This move will nearly double the production footprint of its plumbing and drainage facility with an additional 25,000 m2 manufacturing space and 70,000 m2 of new warehousing. Phase One, beginning in 2025, will introduce advanced injection moulding and automation technology, boosting eĩciency and output for key product lines supplied exclusively to builders merchants across the UK and Ireland.

The expansion is expected to increase volume output by 30 per cent, supporting the company’s continued growth in the residential and construction sectors. With over 1,000 employees and group sales of £220 million, Brett Martin is a key player in Northern Ireland’s manufacturing economy. Over half its workforce is based at Mallusk, which has become one of the region’s leading sustainable production hubs.

The site features on-site wind and solar energy generation, along with high recycled material usage—demonstrating the company’s strong environmental credentials.

This investment reinforces Brett Martin’s long-term commitment to local manufacturing and sustainability. Recent recognition includes being named Sustainable Company of the Year at the Business Eye Awards. Alongside its success in drainage and roofing, Brett Martin continues to supply roofing systems to major UK stadiums including Wembley, Emirates, and Everton’s Bramley Moore Dock, reflecting the company’s reach across sectors and infrastructure projects.
