Minster, the specialist interior and exterior building materials distribution business, has opened six new locations throughout 2020.

The new sites, which now bring the total to 25, are located in Canterbury, Carlisle Tewkesbury, Bridgwater, Oldham and White City and are well placed to support local, regional and national customers.

This development comes at a critical time as we emerge from Covid-19 and demonstrates Minster’s continued commitment to supporting customers.

Nadine Matthews, Minster Managing Director, said: “These sites will play a pivotal role in supporting customers delivering projects that will underpin recovery of the construction economy. Despite the impact of Covid-19, we have been able to get these sites open, creating much-needed jobs.

The White City location is a dedicated supply chain hub for London, providing contractors, developers and housebuilders access to materials for projects in the capital. This location enables Minster to meet the needs of customers who, under Covid-19 measures, are operating more varied site operating times—a challenge Minster has risen well to.

The remaining sites have opened in direct response to customer demand for Minster’s comprehensive range and service, including roofing materials from Isover, Rockwool, Superglass, Polyfoam, Recticel, Kingspan, DuPont, Velux, TLX, Actis, Celotex, Ravago and YBS.

Nadine Matthews added: “When we chose these locations we could never have predicted that construction sites would be seeking new ways to increase productivity while operating more flexibly with reduced work forces.

These new sites put our expertise and products even closer to where they are needed and enable us to work with our customers to design supply-chain procedures that reflect the new normal.
