AMBITIOUS PROJECT DELIVERS FIRST-CLASS WATERPROOFING
RHODES HOUSE was an ambitious project, requiring excavation beneath the building, to create large subterranean spaces that could be used as lecture theatres. Additionally, large areas to either side of the building were excavated, and new pavilions created.
The interface of the original old building against brand new reinforced concrete slab, made detailing more complicated.
Although the waterproofing was made to be covered by landscaping, the attention to detail of the install team and the great pride they took in their work will keep the lecture theatres watertight for years to come.
