Excellent project management was essential to SUMBURGH HEAD LIGHTHOUSE to ensure the works were kept on programme, as logistically being located on the Shetland Isles required an unprecedented journey for both labour and materials.
The project’s complexity was made more acute by the lighthouse’s exposed coastal location on Scotland’s northern-most tip.
