The project consisted of replacing the damaged timber substrate and the installation of new Welsh slates with code three lead soakers, fish tail soakers and a code five lead insert flat roof area.
The customer wanted to retain the original character of the tower so straight slating and gothic scallop flashing details needed to be replicated with the new coverings. The utmost care and attention to detail was carried out throughout the project to ensure perfect symmetry on all facets of the tower.
All slates were dressed by hand using a slate knife and iron.
